Indo-Tibetan rugs or otherwise also known as Tibetan and Nepali rugs were introduced by Nepali and Tibetan weavers and thus this technique was named after their respective origins. Soon this art-form of rug making was adopted by the Indian rug manufacturers whereby India now leads in the production of Tibetan/Nepali rugs across the globe. Therefore, such rugs made in India are also known as Indo-Nepali or Indo-Tibetan rugs.
Indo-Tibetan rugs are one of the more ongoing types of rugs in the production lane of Enigma Rugs.
Our experienced youth designers work the day out creating innovative designs, from the modern graphical to traditional and classic designs.
We use authentic materials just as required by our customers.
The types of materials that we use for our Indo-Tibetan rug productions are:
- Bamboo Silk
- DP Silk
- Banana Silk
- Real Silk (pure silk imported from China)
- Silk + Wool(NZ wool) both combined in appropriate ratio
Each type of silk has its own charm and value, although they have many similarities in their looks and to some extent in their structural feel wise yet their price may vastly differ. For instance, an Indo-Tibetan rug made of Real silk would by far be much more expensive than other types of silk, like, the bamboo silk, banana silk, viscose or staple. Henceforth, it is very important to buy the known quality and pay only for the genuine.
